Three sheep make their way accross the bottom of the painting. They are in very indistinct surroundings. They seem to be going through a period of flux where boundaries are dissolving and emerging. The limited blue and black colour range gives the impression of an xray and of seeing through the outer skin. The painting is an expression of transformation, which can be a traumatic experience. The trauma is mitigated perhaps by the suggestion of the presence and guidance of God in the omnipresent vertical grain and blue colour.
