Midsummer #24
2019, Acrylic on board, 100x60cm
The serene blue sky is inhabitated by wispy cloud formations and a lonely crescent moon. The natural content is in tension with the digitised surface. There is an uneasy coexistence of the natural old and the artificial new. The surface oscillates between hand-made painting and a digitised mechanical print, never resolving, seemingly wanting to be both.
